HOSPITAL BOOK
The hospital Book was developed by Bill Lyons just prior to his death and was published posthumously in his memory by Birmingham Carers and the Health Service.
The Hospital Book was primarily designed with Bill's son in mind but is also useful for anyone who has a learning disability and is going into hospital. It details all of the individual likes and dislikes of the person concerned and should mean that anyone who comes into contact with them during a stay in hospital should know how they like to be treated.
Sadly the book is no longer being published in paper form by the health service and all existing copies are exhausted. We have placed the HOSPITAL BOOK HERE for download in a zip file but please be warned it is over 18mb in size so will take some time to download unless on a fast broadband line.
We hope at smetime in the future the promises that were made in the wake of Bill's death will be kept and the book will be published again in hard copy again someday.
